Narrative:
A beech bonanza was cleared into 'position and hold' at tus at which time it had temporary radio/operator failure. The tower gave him a red light with no response. At this time he got the radio going and the tower, told him something like, 'get off the runway now.' while leaving the runway he hit a sign. I think we should take a second look at position and hold clrncs. The risks outweigh the benefits.
