Narrative:

Aircraft at very light gross weight. Climb rate 5000 FPM and cleared to 9000 ft. Autoplt and altitude select were on. Autoplt could not capture and leveloff from high rate. Aircraft climbed to 9400 ft before manual correction. Should have foreseen possibility due to light weight and high rate of climb.

Narrative: ACFT AT VERY LIGHT GROSS WT. CLB RATE 5000 FPM AND CLRED TO 9000 FT. AUTOPLT AND ALT SELECT WERE ON. AUTOPLT COULD NOT CAPTURE AND LEVELOFF FROM HIGH RATE. ACFT CLBED TO 9400 FT BEFORE MANUAL CORRECTION. SHOULD HAVE FORESEEN POSSIBILITY DUE TO LIGHT WT AND HIGH RATE OF CLB.
