Narrative:
During taxi to runway 5, contacted tower and advised 'ready at end' tower stated 'hold short departing gii-B.' I acknowledged clearance but became distraction by gii taking off. As a result, I inadvertently crossed the hold short line by 1/2 the length of our aircraft. I immediately turned around and returned to the proper side of the hold short line. This event would not have occurred if my complete attention had been devoted to taxiing the aircraft and not showing the boss the gii departing in front of us.
