Narrative:
Small aircraft X was in the jxn traffic pattern practicing takeoff and landing. I was cleared for the option on runway 24. I then landed and took off again. On takeoff there was a Y airship to my left who also seemed to be taking off. I then saw about 15 people running after the airship. On the radio I heard someone say, 'we're not going to make it.' I then pitched for 59 KTS (best angle of climb) and climbed out over and to the left of the airship. After I climbed out I told the tower, 'jxn tower that was pretty close.' he said, 'roger.' I then asked the airship to say when they were ready to depart.
