Narrative:
During climb out (flight from las to dfw) after passing bld and proceeding direct tbc as per flight plan routing, departure control issued heading change for traffic conflict. After receiving reclrnc to tbc, flight was asked if pre departure clearance issued in las had revised departure clearance bld-pgs-tbc. Rechked pre departure clearance and found in fact we had been issued a revised departure routing. There was no hazard in traffic deconfliction, however, the pre departure clearance was confusing, and I feel that there should be a more effective format to draw attention to a departure routing change.

Title: TRACK DEV. MISREAD PDC.
Narrative: DURING CLBOUT (FLT FROM LAS TO DFW) AFTER PASSING BLD AND PROCEEDING DIRECT TBC AS PER FLT PLAN ROUTING, DEP CTL ISSUED HDG CHANGE FOR TFC CONFLICT. AFTER RECEIVING RECLRNC TO TBC, FLT WAS ASKED IF PDC ISSUED IN LAS HAD REVISED DEP CLRNC BLD-PGS-TBC. RECHKED PDC AND FOUND IN FACT WE HAD BEEN ISSUED A REVISED DEP ROUTING. THERE WAS NO HAZARD IN TFC DECONFLICTION, HOWEVER, THE PDC WAS CONFUSING, AND I FEEL THAT THERE SHOULD BE A MORE EFFECTIVE FORMAT TO DRAW ATTN TO A DEP ROUTING CHANGE.
