Narrative:
Air carrier was cleared to descend to 16000 ft and direct worpp intersection, expect runway 27L ILS. We briefed the approach and, approaching worpp intersection and 16000 ft, we were given runway 30 at mia. I saw the captain arm the altitude select switch, so I looked down to get the new approach plate out and brief the new runway with the captain. We then noticed that the aircraft was descending through 16000 ft. The captain quickly leveled off. However, we did go below 16000 ft by a couple hundred ft. Approach control told us to continue descent to 8000 ft so we did. No traffic conflict was obvious or apparent.

Title: ALTDEV OVERSHOOT IN DSCNT.
Narrative: ACR WAS CLRED TO DSND TO 16000 FT AND DIRECT WORPP INTXN, EXPECT RWY 27L ILS. WE BRIEFED THE APCH AND, APCHING WORPP INTXN AND 16000 FT, WE WERE GIVEN RWY 30 AT MIA. I SAW THE CAPT ARM THE ALT SELECT SWITCH, SO I LOOKED DOWN TO GET THE NEW APCH PLATE OUT AND BRIEF THE NEW RWY WITH THE CAPT. WE THEN NOTICED THAT THE ACFT WAS DSNDING THROUGH 16000 FT. THE CAPT QUICKLY LEVELED OFF. HOWEVER, WE DID GO BELOW 16000 FT BY A COUPLE HUNDRED FT. APCH CTL TOLD US TO CONTINUE DSCNT TO 8000 FT SO WE DID. NO TFC CONFLICT WAS OBVIOUS OR APPARENT.
