Narrative:

We were given a speed reduction and a descent and read it back to ATC out of 7000 ft for 3000 ft and at 5800 ft ATC told us to climb back to 7000 ft, then later apologized for the confusion. Supplemental information from acn 312045: at first controller denied assigning us 3000 ft but later apologized for the confusion. All 3 crewmember heard the 3000 ft assignment.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 312045: AT FIRST CTLR DENIED ASSIGNING US 3000 FT BUT LATER APOLOGIZED FOR THE CONFUSION. ALL 3 CREWMEMBER HEARD THE 3000 FT ASSIGNMENT.
