Narrative:
While cruising jfk to slc and over bff at FL350 the left generator tripped off and would not reset. APU was started and the problem reported to the company. About 10-20 mins later we had an 'APU low oil quantity' status message. I shut down APU and diverted to den to have APU serviced. We were on the ground in den about 35 mins and I was busy studying den charts since it was our 1ST time in den. I also was concerned about connections in slc and also being sure the APU was serviced properly and the logbook was signed off properly. We set up the aircraft for departure and studied the den departure SID. After we were on our way to slc I discovered that the MEL on the left generator was not listed on the flight plan, yet it was signed off in the logbook. This overlook was because we were distracted by the new airport and our connecting passenger. In the future I will let the company worry about connections and I will only worry about the aircraft.

THIS OVERLOOK WAS BECAUSE WE WERE DISTRACTED BY THE NEW ARPT AND OUR CONNECTING PAX. IN THE FUTURE I WILL LET THE COMPANY WORRY ABOUT CONNECTIONS AND I WILL ONLY WORRY ABOUT THE ACFT.
