Narrative:
On turning downwind for runway 27R ord controller asked us to turn 180 degrees and call airport/runway in sight. Made heading change and saw runway and was cleared for visual approach. Told to turn 250 degrees to join localizer. Also told by ATC of B757 at 12 O'clock for parallel runway. TCASII gave TA and ATC asked if we were on proper runway 27R? Our aircraft was left of course after rollout on 250 degree heading as assigned. As I continued right turn to correct, captain said we were on wrong runway. However, true or false, at that moment ATC cleared us 'speed at your discretion to taffs, contact the tower at taffs.' we (I) were left of course, however given TCASII and tower's request for confirmation of proper runway this situation pointed out critical spacing and course alignment while conducting parallel approachs. In the future, probably less willing to accept visual until better established inbound.

Title: FO OF AN MDT OVERSHOT TURN TO FINAL DURING A VISUAL APCH CAUSING A TCASII TA OF ANOTHER ACFT ON APCH FOR THE PARALLEL RWY.
Narrative: ON TURNING DOWNWIND FOR RWY 27R ORD CTLR ASKED US TO TURN 180 DEGS AND CALL ARPT/RWY IN SIGHT. MADE HDG CHANGE AND SAW RWY AND WAS CLRED FOR VISUAL APCH. TOLD TO TURN 250 DEGS TO JOIN LOC. ALSO TOLD BY ATC OF B757 AT 12 O'CLOCK FOR PARALLEL RWY. TCASII GAVE TA AND ATC ASKED IF WE WERE ON PROPER RWY 27R? OUR ACFT WAS L OF COURSE AFTER ROLLOUT ON 250 DEG HDG AS ASSIGNED. AS I CONTINUED R TURN TO CORRECT, CAPT SAID WE WERE ON WRONG RWY. HOWEVER, TRUE OR FALSE, AT THAT MOMENT ATC CLRED US 'SPD AT YOUR DISCRETION TO TAFFS, CONTACT THE TWR AT TAFFS.' WE (I) WERE L OF COURSE, HOWEVER GIVEN TCASII AND TWR'S REQUEST FOR CONFIRMATION OF PROPER RWY THIS SIT POINTED OUT CRITICAL SPACING AND COURSE ALIGNMENT WHILE CONDUCTING PARALLEL APCHS. IN THE FUTURE, PROBABLY LESS WILLING TO ACCEPT VISUAL UNTIL BETTER ESTABLISHED INBOUND.
