Narrative:
Operating as air carrier flight 'a' from mlb to mco. Began to taxi while first officer (PNF) contacted ground for taxi instructions and ATC clearance. Ground control clears us to taxi to runway 27L. First officer was picking up IFR clearance and I started to taxi out. I taxied out taxiway right, crossed runway 04 going to what I thought was runway 27L. The first officer realized my mistake, after looking up from copying clearance. I was then just entering taxiway a. He asked if I was going to runway 27L. I answered 'yes.' he said I was going to runway 09R. Ground control then called and asked if that was us that just taxied taxiway right and crossed runway 04. I answered yes, we were turning to taxi to runway 27L via taxiway a. Tower told us to taxi via runway 04 to runway 27L. Departed with no further incident. No other aircraft were in the area at the time of the incident. Other factors: 1) had not eaten since XA30 am -- low blood sugar, 2) XI25 report for trip. Only time to eat was between leg 4 and 5, XK49 min break (really 34 mins, 15 min boarding time), 3) zero passenger on board. Trying to make up time. Running 6 mins late, 4) both crew members were not 'eyes out' at beginning of taxi. First officer was copying ATC clearance, 5) flight a #5, 3 day, 2 night continuous duty trip for month, total of 6, 3 day high speeds scheduled for month (reserve pilot). Should have taxied via taxiway T to runway 27L. Company now beginning to build large quantity of continuous/multiple day trips -- some even with reduced rest periods. The FAA should stop this -- now!!
