Narrative:

C172 was level at 7500 ft VFR in class B airspace working the traffic watch north of las VORTAC. The MD83 departed las for tus, on radar vectors level at 7000 ft. Traffic was exchanged between both aircraft, both aircraft had each other in sight and were instructed to maintain visual separation from each other. The C172 encountered wake turbulence from the MD83 and advised he wanted to land. Within 1 min later the C172 advised that all was ok and wanted to continue their operation. After landing approximately 1 hour later, we were advised by the aircraft owner of the C172, that there were injuries on board and that he grounded the C172.
