Narrative:

We were making the last fuel stop of the day after leaving galesburg, il, stearman restorers meet. We flew over new castle, PA, airport and noted wind direction from the sock -- as the stearman has no radio. The only visible traffic was a green stagger wing beech taxing out for takeoff. We landed after his departure and was taxiing to the 80 octane fuel pump and what I thought was an over zealous line boy stopped us and demanded we taxi to the right side of the strip and shut down. I was in the rear cockpit and told him 'all we wanted to do was get gas and be on our way.' he informed me we were not going anywhere and to get out of the aircraft. He said the field was closed and an airshow was in progress. This was approximately XX30 EST. At this stage of the game I saw his FAA identify card. I told him I was sorry however there was no X on the runway to indicate anything. He asked if I had checked NOTAMS and I said no. The WX report for the whole trip was for good VFR and we had left shortly after daybreak expecting to make home base before sunset. We have no radio or night flying equipment. After departing the aircraft at his request, he and his partner checked all paperwork and allowed us to taxi to the pumps. The show waiver time was over in about 20 mins and we gassed up and took off behind about 5 other departing aircraft. I do not know whether he filed a violation.
