Narrative:
On the prado departure out of ont, established on the 130 degree radial from 112.2, climbing through 7600 ft to 10000 ft, center told us we were cleared to 7000 ft, asked us to level at 8000 ft. We had reported to approach control that we were climbing to 10000 ft and they did not correct us until we were at 7600 ft. Traffic was 7500 ft, 5 mi, no conflict, had it in sight. We wrote down 10000 ft and repeated 10000 ft to controller. Called controller on phone, she said no problem. She didn't catch the 10000 ft call.
