Narrative:
I was the PNF. Our clearance read the pvd 180 degree radial to intercept the martha vineyard (mvy, 14.5) 262 degree radial and on course. The PF tracked outbound on the pvd 180 degree radial and I set up the VOR and radial to be intercepted in my VOR. However, I inadvertently set up lfv 14.7 instead of mvy 14.5. The PF intercepted that and turned early. Center caught it right away, there was no problem and we corrected. However, it is another illustration of how easy it is to get complacent. This situation was caused by 2 things. My careless dialing in of a close, but wrong frequency and the PF's failure to check the accuracy of the frequency and his subsequent interception of the wrong radial.
