Narrative:
On approach to midway, passed over sailplane/glider near our altitude. Shortly afterwards, spotted 2ND sailplane at our 11:30 O'clock slightly below us, range approximately 2 mi. As we closed to about a mi, the glider turned into us with a slight climb. We took evasive action by climbing. As we were descending back to our altitude, we had an 'RA' necessitating a 2ND climb. Observed a twin pass directly underneath us about 600-1000 ft underneath. As he passed underneath, chicago approach gave us a 'traffic' call. We then told him about the gliders, his response was 'yea, they don't show up on our radar, so we don't know they are there.' when we landed at midway, we met a pilot who lives in chicago who told us there is a soaring club southwest of midway and that the gliders have been an ongoing problem for yrs.

AS WE CLOSED TO ABOUT A MI, THE GLIDER TURNED INTO US WITH A SLIGHT CLB. WE TOOK EVASIVE ACTION BY CLBING. AS WE WERE DSNDING BACK TO OUR ALT, WE HAD AN 'RA' NECESSITATING A 2ND CLB. OBSERVED A TWIN PASS DIRECTLY UNDERNEATH US ABOUT 600-1000 FT UNDERNEATH. AS HE PASSED UNDERNEATH, CHICAGO APCH GAVE US A 'TFC' CALL. WE THEN TOLD HIM ABOUT THE GLIDERS, HIS RESPONSE WAS 'YEA, THEY DON'T SHOW UP ON OUR RADAR, SO WE DON'T KNOW THEY ARE THERE.' WHEN WE LANDED AT MIDWAY, WE MET A PLT WHO LIVES IN CHICAGO WHO TOLD US THERE IS A SOARING CLUB SW OF MIDWAY AND THAT THE GLIDERS HAVE BEEN AN ONGOING PROB FOR YRS.
