Narrative:
During climb out, airframe vibration began passing 10000 ft AGL. All cockpit indications normal. As vibration continued it increased in severity. Turned off yaw damper switch and vibration ceased. Once established in cruise turned yaw damper switch back on and vibration began again. Stopped when 'off' was reselected. Continued to destination with yaw damper switch in off position. No further problems. Recorded in logbook. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated he was flying a boeing 737-200. He experienced the yaw damper vibration on this very same airplane in jun of 93. He has never found out what maintenance did to fix the problem.
