Narrative:

During the takeoff roll (approximately 85 KTS), the left air conditioning pack tripped, and the master caution light came on. I rejected the takeoff and taxied clear of the runway. We reset the pack and took-off and continued the flight without further incident. A passenger wrote a letter to the company. After thinking about the situation, I should have returned to the gate, entered a write-up in the logbook and 'MEL' the pack, till maintenance cleared the pack.
