Narrative:

We were cleared for visual to runway 4R mdw. We were previously cleared for 160 KTS. When cleared for approach, we slowed to 130 KTS to configure. Approach then queried our speed stating they needed 160 KTS to OM. We slowed from 160 KTS to 130 KTS 4-5 NM from OM. Landing occurred without incident.
