Narrative:
Ground control cleared me for taxi to runway 10R on taxiway echo for an intersection departure. Because I was not looking carefully enough, and for low visibility due to water on windows and ground, I taxied onto 10R runway. When I noticed what I had done I was about halfway across. I continued on to the other side and contacted ground with the problem. They sent me to tower who cleared me for takeoff. I believe this is mostly my fault. I think complacency was the problem. I simply was not being careful enough to identify my position, especially with the low visibility. I think the taxiway surface markings should be much brighter. It was extremely difficult to see the hold line.

Title: AIR TAXI PLT CROSSES RWY DURING TAXI TO RWY IN A NIGHT OP.
Narrative: GND CTL CLRED ME FOR TAXI TO RWY 10R ON TXWY ECHO FOR AN INTXN DEP. BECAUSE I WAS NOT LOOKING CAREFULLY ENOUGH, AND FOR LOW VISIBILITY DUE TO WATER ON WINDOWS AND GND, I TAXIED ONTO 10R RWY. WHEN I NOTICED WHAT I HAD DONE I WAS ABOUT HALFWAY ACROSS. I CONTINUED ON TO THE OTHER SIDE AND CONTACTED GND WITH THE PROB. THEY SENT ME TO TWR WHO CLRED ME FOR TKOF. I BELIEVE THIS IS MOSTLY MY FAULT. I THINK COMPLACENCY WAS THE PROB. I SIMPLY WAS NOT BEING CAREFUL ENOUGH TO IDENTIFY MY POS, ESPECIALLY WITH THE LOW VISIBILITY. I THINK THE TXWY SURFACE MARKINGS SHOULD BE MUCH BRIGHTER. IT WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SEE THE HOLD LINE.
