Narrative:
While on left downwind for runway 29L at fresno the tower asked me to report a jetstream on a 4 mi straight in for the left. Approximately downwind abeam the numbers I saw a jetstream on about a 2 mi final, I reported 'jetstream in sight.' the tower told me to follow the jetstream, #2, cleared to land on runway 29L. I turned left base behind the jetstream and was setting up for landing. About this time I noticed he was not landing on the left, but was landing on the right. Immediately I started thinking, is there another jetstream out here? I looked to the right and there was a jetstream approximately 500-1000 ft away. I made a right turn and passed to his left side. At this time the tower advised the jetstream that there was a cessna passing below and off to his left. The jetstream pilot advised, he had me in sight and was executing a map. At this time the tower told me, I was cleared to land on the left, which I did. I feel that I should have been advised that there were 2 jetstreams making straight INS for the right and left so that I could have been looking for both of them. Also I am wondering, when did the jetstream pilot see me? And why didn't he report that there was a cessna turning left base in front of him? These things happen fast!
