Narrative:
Atl requested that we cross tiroe at 14000 ft and 250 KTS. Captain was flying and did not monitor descent rate properly. We missed it by 4 mi. I notified atl ATC about 4 mi from tiroe that we would be unable to comply, atl stated that we could delete the speed but try to make the altitude. We could not! Atl did not communicate any conflict with nearby traffic. I should have more closely monitored our descent rather than trust the captain, thereby relying solely upon him. The fault was as much mine as his.

Title: FLC OF AN MLG FAILED TO MAKE XING RESTR DURING DSCNT.
Narrative: ATL REQUESTED THAT WE CROSS TIROE AT 14000 FT AND 250 KTS. CAPT WAS FLYING AND DID NOT MONITOR DSCNT RATE PROPERLY. WE MISSED IT BY 4 MI. I NOTIFIED ATL ATC ABOUT 4 MI FROM TIROE THAT WE WOULD BE UNABLE TO COMPLY, ATL STATED THAT WE COULD DELETE THE SPD BUT TRY TO MAKE THE ALT. WE COULD NOT! ATL DID NOT COMMUNICATE ANY CONFLICT WITH NEARBY TFC. I SHOULD HAVE MORE CLOSELY MONITORED OUR DSCNT RATHER THAN TRUST THE CAPT, THEREBY RELYING SOLELY UPON HIM. THE FAULT WAS AS MUCH MINE AS HIS.
