Narrative:
I was on a VFR flight coming inbound for a landing. I received clearance and entered the class D airspace. Tower had me on radar. On final approach I reported 'airport not in sight' and that I was 'unfamiliar with the area.' tower told me I was a little off of position and assisted me with a radar vector. I sighted the airport. I reported 'airport in sight.' tower cleared me to land. I landed. Apparently the FBO owner heard that I had 'some problems' with the flight. I got a little disoriented but tower helped me and everything turned out fine. I did not break any regulations. I went to tower and talked to them to make sure. They showed me where I was on radar. No problems. A few weeks later I call the FBO. The owner of FBO told me that he was going to report me to the FAA. For what? I don't know. I tried to talk to him but he had a bad temper and did not want to resolve the situation. When I tried to figure out what he was so mad about, he just got more mad and said he would just 'turn it over to the FAA' so they could 'investigate' on me.

Title: FLT ASSIST FOR PVT PLT ON VISUAL WHO CAN'T SEE THE ARPT.
Narrative: I WAS ON A VFR FLT COMING INBOUND FOR A LNDG. I RECEIVED CLRNC AND ENTERED THE CLASS D AIRSPACE. TWR HAD ME ON RADAR. ON FINAL APCH I RPTED 'ARPT NOT IN SIGHT' AND THAT I WAS 'UNFAMILIAR WITH THE AREA.' TWR TOLD ME I WAS A LITTLE OFF OF POS AND ASSISTED ME WITH A RADAR VECTOR. I SIGHTED THE ARPT. I RPTED 'ARPT IN SIGHT.' TWR CLRED ME TO LAND. I LANDED. APPARENTLY THE FBO OWNER HEARD THAT I HAD 'SOME PROBS' WITH THE FLT. I GOT A LITTLE DISORIENTED BUT TWR HELPED ME AND EVERYTHING TURNED OUT FINE. I DID NOT BREAK ANY REGS. I WENT TO TWR AND TALKED TO THEM TO MAKE SURE. THEY SHOWED ME WHERE I WAS ON RADAR. NO PROBS. A FEW WKS LATER I CALL THE FBO. THE OWNER OF FBO TOLD ME THAT HE WAS GOING TO RPT ME TO THE FAA. FOR WHAT? I DON'T KNOW. I TRIED TO TALK TO HIM BUT HE HAD A BAD TEMPER AND DID NOT WANT TO RESOLVE THE SIT. WHEN I TRIED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT HE WAS SO MAD ABOUT, HE JUST GOT MORE MAD AND SAID HE WOULD JUST 'TURN IT OVER TO THE FAA' SO THEY COULD 'INVESTIGATE' ON ME.
