Narrative:
Altimeter setting anchorage was low 28.95 -- going through 18000 ft altimeter was set at 28.92 instead of 29.92 resulting in 1000 ft error in level off. Contributing factor was crew occupied with testing bleed air system as this was a test flight. ATC questioned altitude and discovery was made.

Narrative: ALTIMETER SETTING ANCHORAGE WAS LOW 28.95 -- GOING THROUGH 18000 FT ALTIMETER WAS SET AT 28.92 INSTEAD OF 29.92 RESULTING IN 1000 FT ERROR IN LEVEL OFF. CONTRIBUTING FACTOR WAS CREW OCCUPIED WITH TESTING BLEED AIR SYS AS THIS WAS A TEST FLT. ATC QUESTIONED ALT AND DISCOVERY WAS MADE.
