Narrative:
On approach to dca (river visual) over the river descending through approximately 1600 ft, we encountered a flock of geese. One struck the left wing and we had a temporary loss of communication. Continued the approach and landing without further incident. Reestablished with ground and reported the bird strike.

Title: FLC OF AN LGT TEMPORARILY LOST COMS WITH TWR DURING FINAL APCH DUE TO A FLOCK OF GEESE -- BIRD STRIKE.
Narrative: ON APCH TO DCA (RIVER VISUAL) OVER THE RIVER DSNDING THROUGH APPROX 1600 FT, WE ENCOUNTERED A FLOCK OF GEESE. ONE STRUCK THE L WING AND WE HAD A TEMPORARY LOSS OF COM. CONTINUED THE APCH AND LNDG WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. REESTABLISHED WITH GND AND RPTED THE BIRD STRIKE.
