Narrative:
I was giving flight instruction in aircraft #1 and was simulating an emergency (loss of power) from downwind leg, landing on runway 7 at mth. Radio announcements were made downwind, base (close) and final. Just as we were about to touch down we heard the baron announce he was going around and that we had cut him off. We had not previously seen or heard the baron. It is obvious that we (the student and I) both should have been more alert, especially me. A contributing factor was the apparently intermittent reception and garbled reception of the radio. Apparently the baron had made proper reports.
