Narrative:
I was riding as a passenger in a king air that skidded off the edge of the runway. I was in the front seat. The captain who has considerable king air time forgot to unlock the left propeller of the garrett pwred B100. On the takeoff roll he brought the left propeller into reverse to try to unlock the propeller. The right engine was still up on power. The aircraft went hard left and went off the runway. Both propellers were bent. There were no injuries. The pilot was in a rush and did not do the checklist. There were also several vehicles near the runway which probably distracted the pilot. We were at an uncontrolled airport with no supervision on the ramp area. Several of the vehicles were waiting for another aircraft with a landing gear problem. I am a pilot but was just a passenger on this flight.

Title: PLT OF AN SMT TURBOPROP LOST CTL OF THE ACFT WHEN PUTTING THE L PROP IN REVERSE DURING TKOF ROLL IN AN ATTEMPT TO UNLOCK THE PROP. THE PROPS WERE BENT GOING OFF THE SIDE OF THE RWY.
Narrative: I WAS RIDING AS A PAX IN A KING AIR THAT SKIDDED OFF THE EDGE OF THE RWY. I WAS IN THE FRONT SEAT. THE CAPT WHO HAS CONSIDERABLE KING AIR TIME FORGOT TO UNLOCK THE L PROP OF THE GARRETT PWRED B100. ON THE TKOF ROLL HE BROUGHT THE L PROP INTO REVERSE TO TRY TO UNLOCK THE PROP. THE R ENG WAS STILL UP ON PWR. THE ACFT WENT HARD L AND WENT OFF THE RWY. BOTH PROPS WERE BENT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE PLT WAS IN A RUSH AND DID NOT DO THE CHKLIST. THERE WERE ALSO SEVERAL VEHICLES NEAR THE RWY WHICH PROBABLY DISTRACTED THE PLT. WE WERE AT AN UNCTLED ARPT WITH NO SUPERVISION ON THE RAMP AREA. SEVERAL OF THE VEHICLES WERE WAITING FOR ANOTHER ACFT WITH A LNDG GEAR PROB. I AM A PLT BUT WAS JUST A PAX ON THIS FLT.
