Narrative:
Event occurred when being cleared from the GA ramp to runway 34 at dab. Ground cleared us to runway 34 as follows, 'taxi runway 34 via txwys south and east, expect taxiway E2 departure.' due to our incorrect assumption that intersection taxiway E2 was south of runway 25L, we crossed runway 25L and we were asked to contact daytona tower upon completion of the flight. I spoke to the tower chief at daytona international and confessed my mistake. No personal information was taken nor requested. I believe contributing factors to this missed clearance was our unfamiliarity with this area of the airport and the ground controller's clearance, 'taxi runway 34 via txwys south and east,' did not specify which direction he wanted us to turn on taxiway east.

Title: A PLT MISUNDERSTOOD TAXI INSTRUCTIONS AND TAXIED ACROSS AN ACTIVE RWY. THE TWR CHIEF REVIEWED THE TAXI INSTRUCTIONS WITH THE PLT AFTER THE FLT WAS COMPLETED.
Narrative: EVENT OCCURRED WHEN BEING CLRED FROM THE GA RAMP TO RWY 34 AT DAB. GND CLRED US TO RWY 34 AS FOLLOWS, 'TAXI RWY 34 VIA TXWYS S AND E, EXPECT TXWY E2 DEP.' DUE TO OUR INCORRECT ASSUMPTION THAT INTXN TXWY E2 WAS S OF RWY 25L, WE CROSSED RWY 25L AND WE WERE ASKED TO CONTACT DAYTONA TWR UPON COMPLETION OF THE FLT. I SPOKE TO THE TWR CHIEF AT DAYTONA INTL AND CONFESSED MY MISTAKE. NO PERSONAL INFO WAS TAKEN NOR REQUESTED. I BELIEVE CONTRIBUTING FACTORS TO THIS MISSED CLRNC WAS OUR UNFAMILIARITY WITH THIS AREA OF THE ARPT AND THE GND CTLR'S CLRNC, 'TAXI RWY 34 VIA TXWYS S AND E,' DID NOT SPECIFY WHICH DIRECTION HE WANTED US TO TURN ON TXWY E.
