Narrative:
Took off from 2i4 XA40 am. Was informed by columbus approach/departure that bolton field was closed when I activated my flight plan during climb out. Prior to the flight I received a full standard IFR briefing from dayton flight service. No mention of any NOTAMS were given about bolton field during the briefing so I didn't think to inquire. I continued with my preflight duties and later took off. After hearing from approach that the field was closed. I called flight service 122.3 and asked for NOTAMS for 2i4. I was then informed via flight service that the airport was notamed closed.
