Narrative:

At FL140, our KC130 was given clearance to cross walnut intersection at 6000 ft. Clearance was acknowledged. At approximately 12000 ft, the aircraft began to experience vibration. The rate of descent was reduced and the vibration subsided. 3 attempts to contact ZME were unsuccessful. On the fourth attempt, contact was made and center was advised of the situation. ATC acknowledged and switched us to memphis approach. No other aircraft were involved. Flight proceeded without incident and concluded uneventfully.

Title: A MIL KC130 FLC EXPERIENCES VIBRATION IN THE ACFT DURING THEIR DSCNT TO MAKE A XING RESTR AND REDUCES THE RATE OF DSCNT TO AMELIORATE THE VIBRATION. AFTER SEVERAL TRIES, THEY OBTAIN RELIEF FROM THE XING RESTR.

THE RATE OF DSCNT WAS REDUCED AND THE VIBRATION SUBSIDED. 3 ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT ZME WERE UNSUCCESSFUL. ON THE FOURTH ATTEMPT, CONTACT WAS MADE AND CTR WAS ADVISED OF THE SIT. ATC ACKNOWLEDGED AND SWITCHED US TO MEMPHIS APCH. NO OTHER ACFT WERE INVOLVED. FLT PROCEEDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AND CONCLUDED UNEVENTFULLY.
