Narrative:
Cleared to taxi from customs at pbi via taxiway C. Hold short of runway 13. We taxied to the hold short line of runway 13 and waited. After 1 min I called and said we were holding short of runway 13. Tower came back and cleared us to taxi across runway 13 to runway 9L. It was at that point I realized that after I had read back the taxi instructions to ground I had mistakenly switched over to the tower frequency and we had been taxiing on the tower frequency. I failed to stay with ground. I'll make sure when I switch frequencys I'll know for sure I've done so.

Title: KING AIR FLC SWITCHES TO TWR FREQ INSTEAD OF REMAINING ON GND FREQ WHEN TAXIING AND HOLDING SHORT.
Narrative: CLRED TO TAXI FROM CUSTOMS AT PBI VIA TXWY C. HOLD SHORT OF RWY 13. WE TAXIED TO THE HOLD SHORT LINE OF RWY 13 AND WAITED. AFTER 1 MIN I CALLED AND SAID WE WERE HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 13. TWR CAME BACK AND CLRED US TO TAXI ACROSS RWY 13 TO RWY 9L. IT WAS AT THAT POINT I REALIZED THAT AFTER I HAD READ BACK THE TAXI INSTRUCTIONS TO GND I HAD MISTAKENLY SWITCHED OVER TO THE TWR FREQ AND WE HAD BEEN TAXIING ON THE TWR FREQ. I FAILED TO STAY WITH GND. I'LL MAKE SURE WHEN I SWITCH FREQS I'LL KNOW FOR SURE I'VE DONE SO.
