Narrative:
Had received clearance to proceed from orl VOR on J-53 to crg VOR. I incorrectly put omn VOR on our route of flight from orl-crg. When we tuned the communication at orl we then headed for omn. About 9 mi to the right at J-53 the controller asked what our intentions were. I asked him to repeat. He then said that we were headed to omn and this was not on our cleared route (J-53) to crg. I apologized after he gave us a radar vector back to J-53 which we joined and proceeded on without any further complications. The problem was putting into our GPS an incorrect fix and not having the captain confirm my work.
