Narrative:

Night takeoff, gear handle up. Unsafe red gear lights came on and stayed on, accompanied by unresetable landing gear aural warning horn. When throttles pulled during leveloff, both packs tripped off and pressurization went to standby (due to 'unscheduled descent' being initiated). Checklist accomplished. Did not resolve landing gear problem. Did precautionary return to field. Fire trucks responded (called tower). Biggest problem: flight engineer's inability to locate aural warning circuit breaker to stifle the obnoxious horn! Otherwise uneventful. No real lessons (except for knowing where circuit breaker is!).

Title: FLC OF AN LGT RETURNED AND LANDED AFTER THE LNDG GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT.

Narrative: NIGHT TKOF, GEAR HANDLE UP. UNSAFE RED GEAR LIGHTS CAME ON AND STAYED ON, ACCOMPANIED BY UNRESETABLE LNDG GEAR AURAL WARNING HORN. WHEN THROTTLES PULLED DURING LEVELOFF, BOTH PACKS TRIPPED OFF AND PRESSURIZATION WENT TO STANDBY (DUE TO 'UNSCHEDULED DSCNT' BEING INITIATED). CHKLIST ACCOMPLISHED. DID NOT RESOLVE LNDG GEAR PROB. DID PRECAUTIONARY RETURN TO FIELD. FIRE TRUCKS RESPONDED (CALLED TWR). BIGGEST PROB: FE'S INABILITY TO LOCATE AURAL WARNING CIRCUIT BREAKER TO STIFLE THE OBNOXIOUS HORN! OTHERWISE UNEVENTFUL. NO REAL LESSONS (EXCEPT FOR KNOWING WHERE CIRCUIT BREAKER IS!).
