Narrative:
Captain overshot radial on arrival and started descent late for crossing restr. Wide turn reached approximately 6 mi (according to ATC) east of airway. Descent was completed by (within 300 ft) crossing restr, but ATC was questioning if we were going to be able to make that restr (we did).

Title: STARTING DSCNT LATE AND CLRED FOR A XING RESTR, PF, CAPT, APPARENTLY MADE LARGE S TURN TO AID IN MAKING RESTR. ATC QUESTIONED BOTH THE ACFT HDG AND ALT.
Narrative: CAPT OVERSHOT RADIAL ON ARR AND STARTED DSCNT LATE FOR XING RESTR. WIDE TURN REACHED APPROX 6 MI (ACCORDING TO ATC) E OF AIRWAY. DSCNT WAS COMPLETED BY (WITHIN 300 FT) XING RESTR, BUT ATC WAS QUESTIONING IF WE WERE GOING TO BE ABLE TO MAKE THAT RESTR (WE DID).
