Narrative:
On takeoff from msp airport on routine passenger flight, the stall warning shaker activated several times as the pitch angle was rotated through 5 degrees. Cleaned up aircraft and climbed to a safe altitude. Performed a controllability check by slowing to normal approach speeds. The stick shaker came on at well above normal speeds for 0 degree, 2 degree, and 5 degree flap settings. Otherwise aircraft control was normal. Declared an emergency and made uneventful landing.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: FLC OF AN LGT DECLARED AN EMER AND RETURNED TO LAND AFTER EXPERIENCING AN ABNORMAL ACFT STALL INDICATION UPON BECOMING AIRBORNE.
Narrative: ON TKOF FROM MSP ARPT ON ROUTINE PAX FLT, THE STALL WARNING SHAKER ACTIVATED SEVERAL TIMES AS THE PITCH ANGLE WAS ROTATED THROUGH 5 DEGS. CLEANED UP ACFT AND CLBED TO A SAFE ALT. PERFORMED A CONTROLLABILITY CHK BY SLOWING TO NORMAL APCH SPDS. THE STICK SHAKER CAME ON AT WELL ABOVE NORMAL SPDS FOR 0 DEG, 2 DEG, AND 5 DEG FLAP SETTINGS. OTHERWISE ACFT CTL WAS NORMAL. DECLARED AN EMER AND MADE UNEVENTFUL LNDG.
