Narrative:
Location: dfw runway 17R. Aircraft was flown with extra fuel. Flight normal until he pulled the throttles to idle. With the winds calm, I called the radar altimeter down to 5 ft. Aircraft landing was soft. Did not notice degrees nose height till passing down through 8 degrees. Nose was then raised again until nosewheel touched down at 100 KTS. Rest of rollout and taxi normal. I did not suspect a tail strike till captain returned to jet bridge to report a tail strike. I asked him if the red lever was horizontal and safety wire intact. He reported it was so. I called maintenance on the phone. I did not note stabilizer trim setting at shut down. I did not find reason to inspect tail. Supplemental information from acn 327969: I flared the aircraft too much. Contributing factors: trying to feel for the runway, fatigue, and above normal seat ht due to glareshield position.
