Narrative:
With takeoff clearance tower reported RVR 700 ft. After takeoff I knew something was out of place and rechked dispatch release. We had no takeoff alternate listed. Takeoff briefing before engine start had taken current WX conditions including a trend to lower visibility. Was preoccupied at departure end of runway with tower ignoring our calls ready for takeoff. Tower was ignoring to help another air carrier who was in holding bay and not ready to receive a takeoff clearance before us. This type of unequal handling can be very distracting when it is so blatantly done.

TKOF BRIEFING BEFORE ENG START HAD TAKEN CURRENT WX CONDITIONS INCLUDING A TREND TO LOWER VISIBILITY. WAS PREOCCUPIED AT DEP END OF RWY WITH TWR IGNORING OUR CALLS READY FOR TKOF. TWR WAS IGNORING TO HELP ANOTHER ACR WHO WAS IN HOLDING BAY AND NOT READY TO RECEIVE A TKOF CLRNC BEFORE US. THIS TYPE OF UNEQUAL HANDLING CAN BE VERY DISTRACTING WHEN IT IS SO BLATANTLY DONE.
