Narrative:

On final at sea a light single was instructed to follow us to runway 34R. He approached on right base and mistook the aircraft ahead of us for his traffic. The first officer was watching him and called for a missed approach just as the TCASII called, 'traffic, traffic.' also at this time the tower instructed the light craft to 'do a right 360 degrees.' we climbed to 2000 ft, the controller had us enter a right downwind and land on runway 34L. Fortunately the first officer and tower were both alert. Also the TCASII is new to us and is very helpful. We were tracking the other aircraft.
