Narrative:
ATC facility, ZAU. Location, pullman arrival 35 east of northbrook VOR. We were flying inbound on the pullman arrival and flew past the changeover point inbound to northbrook before setting the next course. When we selected the northbrook VOR and course we saw that we were south of course at the same time ZAU called and asked our heading. Center stated that we showed 5 mi south of course and asked us to turn to a 275 degree heading. Then he asked us to contact approach control.
