Narrative:
Dtw approach assigned a heading of 035 degrees to our aircraft, along with other information you check in (ie, altitude, local altimeter setting, expect runway, etc). First officer (PF) mistook heading assignment to be 350 degrees and turned. Captain did not catch error made by first officer until dtw called back and heading of 070 degrees to compensate for error. Heading corrected, situation uneventful.
