Narrative:
While climbing out of mco, departure cleared us to initial altitude 7000 ft or 8000 ft. First officer was hand flying aircraft. ATC then gave us a revised routing, first officer then programmed FMC while I was on the radio. Climbed 300 ft through assigned altitude. No conflict.
