Narrative:

Flight from mth to mai. I was the PNF. We had leveled off at 3000 ft MSL when the PF noticed a glider in a left turn that did not register on our TCASII. We initiated a climbing right evasive maneuver. I informed approach of this and said that we would be deviating from our assigned altitude by about 400 ft. The controller said he had a primary target in that area. The glider it seems was not talking to anyone and did not have a transponder. We returned to our assigned altitude after the conflict had passed.
