Narrative:
Land on parallel runway 30R, overtook my aircraft from behind and closed to within 200 ft of us behind my right wing. We were not advised of his position by tower and he set off a TCASII climb advisory as he merged on our scope at 5 mi range and superimposed on the aircraft symbol and +100 ft. TCASII directed an RA of 1800 FPM climb. We had no way to acquire the traffic visually since he overtook us at high speed and flew into a blind spot behind the right wing and scared the hell out of our passenger on the right side of coach. Due to previous experiences at sjc I assumed the traffic to be a student from the left runway 29 who might have overshot and been on the other tower frequency, which made this a difficult time to follow the TCASII command, but I directed it anyway and gained separation. We landed successfully despite the abrupt climb after confirming the traffic's position. I don't understand why the cessna was that fast in the air traffic area and that close to us. Many passenger were visibly upset and shaken. I called tower and made recommendations but was told that the VFR traffic was cleared to do what he did but in hindsight they would have made sure we knew about him.

Title: B757 FLC HAS TCASII RA ON FINAL, TAKES EVASIVE ACTION.
Narrative: LAND ON PARALLEL RWY 30R, OVERTOOK MY ACFT FROM BEHIND AND CLOSED TO WITHIN 200 FT OF US BEHIND MY R WING. WE WERE NOT ADVISED OF HIS POS BY TWR AND HE SET OFF A TCASII CLB ADVISORY AS HE MERGED ON OUR SCOPE AT 5 MI RANGE AND SUPERIMPOSED ON THE ACFT SYMBOL AND +100 FT. TCASII DIRECTED AN RA OF 1800 FPM CLB. WE HAD NO WAY TO ACQUIRE THE TFC VISUALLY SINCE HE OVERTOOK US AT HIGH SPD AND FLEW INTO A BLIND SPOT BEHIND THE R WING AND SCARED THE HELL OUT OF OUR PAX ON THE R SIDE OF COACH. DUE TO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES AT SJC I ASSUMED THE TFC TO BE A STUDENT FROM THE L RWY 29 WHO MIGHT HAVE OVERSHOT AND BEEN ON THE OTHER TWR FREQ, WHICH MADE THIS A DIFFICULT TIME TO FOLLOW THE TCASII COMMAND, BUT I DIRECTED IT ANYWAY AND GAINED SEPARATION. WE LANDED SUCCESSFULLY DESPITE THE ABRUPT CLB AFTER CONFIRMING THE TFC'S POS. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THE CESSNA WAS THAT FAST IN THE ATA AND THAT CLOSE TO US. MANY PAX WERE VISIBLY UPSET AND SHAKEN. I CALLED TWR AND MADE RECOMMENDATIONS BUT WAS TOLD THAT THE VFR TFC WAS CLRED TO DO WHAT HE DID BUT IN HINDSIGHT THEY WOULD HAVE MADE SURE WE KNEW ABOUT HIM.
