Narrative:

A320 unplanned ram air turbine (RAT) deploy stowed without any inspection. Unaware, at that time, the required inspection item requirement. A foreman was present and witnessed an a&P mechanic stow the RAT. No one was aware of the required inspection item requirement. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: callback to reporter mechanic confirmed the definition of required inspection item plus why the RAT was deployed to start with. Mechanic was doing a static inverter check and pushed the wrong switch. Neither the mechanic nor his foreman were aware that when stowing the RAT, a required inspection item must be applied. Mechanic says that an FAA inspector checked into the situation and cleared him.
