Narrative:
I landed at a controled airport without calling the tower. To prevent a recurrence, I need to pay attention, in the future, to the chart. There were no other airplanes involved in the event. I was flying with the owner in a maule and we flew into hum. In the past, we had gone into hum, but the field was not controled. This time we didn't know it was controled. We landed without calling the tower. After landing we learned of the tower and called to apologize. The tower operator told us to call on the phone. He then advised us that he had called his supervisor.
