Narrative:

Flight departing lga was on taxiway B holding short of taxiway Z for a runway 31 departure. An MD80 was holding short of taxiway B on taxiway Z. There was no sequence given by lga tower of takeoff order. We were cleared for takeoff on runway 31 -- we taxied around the corner onto runway 31 and took the takeoff on the roll. We were never given cleared for immediate takeoff or given landing traffic on runway 22. About 1/4 of the way down runway 31 we noticed a beech type commuter short final runway 22. At that time lga tower gave the commuter a go around. We were airborne around taxiway Z or south. Lga tower gave the commuter a runway heading assignment. As we went through the intersection of runway 31/22 we had to shallow out the climb to maintain clearance from the commuter. We were only at 100-150 ft in altitude. No comments were made by either air carrier or by lga tower -- but this could have been disastrous.

Title: FLC OF SUPER 80 MUST LEVEL OUT THE CLB ON TKOF DUE TO THE TFC LNDG ON CROSS RWY. SECOND ACFT GIVEN A GAR BY THE TWR CTLR.

Narrative: FLT DEPARTING LGA WAS ON TXWY B HOLDING SHORT OF TXWY Z FOR A RWY 31 DEP. AN MD80 WAS HOLDING SHORT OF TXWY B ON TXWY Z. THERE WAS NO SEQUENCE GIVEN BY LGA TWR OF TKOF ORDER. WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF ON RWY 31 -- WE TAXIED AROUND THE CORNER ONTO RWY 31 AND TOOK THE TKOF ON THE ROLL. WE WERE NEVER GIVEN CLRED FOR IMMEDIATE TKOF OR GIVEN LNDG TFC ON RWY 22. ABOUT 1/4 OF THE WAY DOWN RWY 31 WE NOTICED A BEECH TYPE COMMUTER SHORT FINAL RWY 22. AT THAT TIME LGA TWR GAVE THE COMMUTER A GAR. WE WERE AIRBORNE AROUND TXWY Z OR S. LGA TWR GAVE THE COMMUTER A RWY HDG ASSIGNMENT. AS WE WENT THROUGH THE INTXN OF RWY 31/22 WE HAD TO SHALLOW OUT THE CLB TO MAINTAIN CLRNC FROM THE COMMUTER. WE WERE ONLY AT 100-150 FT IN ALT. NO COMMENTS WERE MADE BY EITHER ACR OR BY LGA TWR -- BUT THIS COULD HAVE BEEN DISASTROUS.
