Narrative:
Cleared to cross 11 mi west of ftz VOR at 15000 ft and 250 KTS. PNF had set 11000 ft in altitude alert, but FMC was programmed for 15000 ft and 250 KTS. At 11700 ft ATC asked if we were descending to 11000 ft. We answered affirmative and then realized our clearance was for 15000 ft. Center said that was fine and to maintain 11000 ft. This event happened during IOE for the first officer which is a higher workload than normal operations. The numbers on the SID show to cross kayla intersection at 11000 ft and 250 KTS, and kayla is 11 DME west of ftz. We were cleared direct to ftz and to cross 11 mi west at 15000 ft. I feel that too many similar numbers was a contributing factor.

Title: A B767 FLC DSNDED BELOW THE ASSIGNED XING RESTR AFTER INADVERTENTLY SETTING THE WRONG ALT IN THE ALT ALERTER DURING TRAINING ACTIVITY. THE INSTRUCTOR PLT RPTS THAT THE NUMBERS IN THE CLRNC WERE CONFUSING AND CONTRIBUTED TO THE MISTAKE.
