Narrative:
Departed mmu for a flight up the hudson river corridor. Flew south to clear new york class B. Visibility was 5 mi in haze. Due to lack of attention I turned east too soon and overflew linden, which was when I realized the problem. I immediately turned south again and began descending from 1800 ft (should have been at 1500 ft) to 800 ft (should have been at 500 ft at that point).

Title: PVT PLT OF A C172 INADVERTENTLY PENETRATED CLASS B AIRSPACE DURING A PLANNED VFR FLT TO REMAIN UNDER CLASS B AIRSPACE. LOW VISIBILITY CONTRIBUTED TO LOSS OF POSITIONAL AWARENESS.
Narrative: DEPARTED MMU FOR A FLT UP THE HUDSON RIVER CORRIDOR. FLEW S TO CLR NEW YORK CLASS B. VISIBILITY WAS 5 MI IN HAZE. DUE TO LACK OF ATTN I TURNED E TOO SOON AND OVERFLEW LINDEN, WHICH WAS WHEN I REALIZED THE PROB. I IMMEDIATELY TURNED S AGAIN AND BEGAN DSNDING FROM 1800 FT (SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT 1500 FT) TO 800 FT (SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT 500 FT AT THAT POINT).
