Narrative:
We were given a runway 28L visual approach, had late descent clearance from cruise with a relative high turn on to final, were working to reduce airspeed on entire approach, B767 turned base to final on runway 28R about 6 NM out and we gradually crept closer until we were in a wing formation position on short final. Air was smooth and seemed to be safe for landing, but separation was too close and made for an uncomfortable approach.
