Narrative:
The problem is on the sectionals, the ADIZ goes around the tip of florida. The keys are a free flight zone, so I think going out to fort jefferson would be included in this zone. It is american soil. But when you have F15's on your tail you wonder where we live. We should make a corridor to and from the tortugas all the way to homestead. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter was carrying news media personnel to the tortuga islands, ft jefferson national monument, where a seaplane had crashed. Because he was not on a flight plan nor in communication with ATC, he was intercepted by F15's when penetrating the ADIZ inbound. Reporter thinks the free flight zone should be extended beyond the florida keys to include the tortugas. At the time reporter says he didn't know that the free flight zone was not extended and thought he could fly out and back without an ADIZ bust.

Title: WITH NO FLT PLAN AND NO COM WITH ATC, HELI PLT, CARRYING NEWS MEDIA PERSONNEL, DEPARTED UNITED STATES AIRSPACE AND RETURNED, PENETRATING THE ADIZ. RPTR ACFT INTERCEPTED BY F15'S.
Narrative: THE PROB IS ON THE SECTIONALS, THE ADIZ GOES AROUND THE TIP OF FLORIDA. THE KEYS ARE A FREE FLT ZONE, SO I THINK GOING OUT TO FORT JEFFERSON WOULD BE INCLUDED IN THIS ZONE. IT IS AMERICAN SOIL. BUT WHEN YOU HAVE F15'S ON YOUR TAIL YOU WONDER WHERE WE LIVE. WE SHOULD MAKE A CORRIDOR TO AND FROM THE TORTUGAS ALL THE WAY TO HOMESTEAD. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR WAS CARRYING NEWS MEDIA PERSONNEL TO THE TORTUGA ISLANDS, FT JEFFERSON NATIONAL MONUMENT, WHERE A SEAPLANE HAD CRASHED. AT THE TIME RPTR SAYS HE DIDN'T KNOW THAT THE FREE FLT ZONE WAS NOT EXTENDED AND THOUGHT HE COULD FLY OUT AND BACK WITHOUT AN ADIZ BUST.
