Narrative:
Had just taken off from manassas, va, and was cleared to 5000 ft MSL. Controller gave new clearance at about the assigned altitude. Engaged altitude hold at 5000 ft MSL and started setting up next waypoint. Controller advised that I had climbed through assigned altitude. I confirmed and got back on altitude. It was some time down the way that I realized that an electrical failure had taken place. No gyro, no navigation #1, and no autoplt. When I engaged the altitude on the autoplt, it blew everything. I radioed control, advised of situation, and proceeded. Aircraft is still at shop having repairs. Cause unk. Possible lighting strike.

Title: PLT OF AN SMA SEL OVERSHOT CLB ALT DURING DEP DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL PROB WHICH CAUSED THE AUTOPLT, ATTITUDE GYRO, AND NAV #1 TO FAIL.
Narrative: HAD JUST TAKEN OFF FROM MANASSAS, VA, AND WAS CLRED TO 5000 FT MSL. CTLR GAVE NEW CLRNC AT ABOUT THE ASSIGNED ALT. ENGAGED ALT HOLD AT 5000 FT MSL AND STARTED SETTING UP NEXT WAYPOINT.
